A consultancy site where the credits do the convincing
Kaizen Media is a Melbourne consultancy working across media, audio, music and talent, led by one of Australian radio’s most experienced content directors. A business like this sells judgement, and judgement is bought on track record. So the site is deliberately spare: what the consultancy does, who it has done it for, and the work you can actually listen to, with the credits and partner brands carrying the persuasion.
Overview
The challenge
Consultancies with real pedigree often have the worst websites, because the principal is too busy doing the work to explain it. Kaizen Media's founder has led national radio launches, taken stations to number one, and built and exited audio ventures. None of that was working for the business online.
The site had to make three offers legible, brand strategy, talent development and board work, to three different kinds of buyer: media executives, talent, and companies seeking a director. And it had to do it without inflating anything, because the audience is media people who can smell inflation from the next suburb.
Our approach
-
Strategy
Say less, prove more. The structure is a short path from what the consultancy does to who it has done it for.
- A single-statement homepage that names the fields and the offer plainly
- Services split into the three real engagement types rather than a capability soup
- Talent and partners given their own spaces, since both are proof
-
Design
Restrained and typographic, so the brand names and the audio do the talking.
- A logo wall of networks, brands and ventures as the centrepiece of credibility
- Embedded audio demos, because in this trade the showreel is the CV
- A layout that stays out of the way of the reading
-
Development
A compact Webflow build with structure where the content actually changes.
- Talent held as CMS entries, so representation changes are content edits
- A voice-imaging page with playable demos across formats
- A spam-protected contact route straight to the principal
Technical deep-dive
-
Proof you can press play on
The voice and imaging work is presented as audio, not adjectives.
- Embedded demos across imaging, podcast, commercial, narration and television formats
- Brand credits listed against the work they belong to
-
A talent roster as content
Representation changes, and the site keeps up without a rebuild.
- Each represented brand or show is a CMS entry with its own page
- The consultancy adds and retires talent listings itself
Results and impact
The consultancy now has a public face proportionate to its standing: quiet, specific and heavy with real names. A prospective partner can work out the offer in a minute, hear the work in two, and reach the principal in one step.
Key takeaway
For a personal consultancy, the website's job is to not get in the way of the reputation. Structure the offers honestly, put the credits and the audio where they can be checked, and resist the urge to say more than the track record needs.
